It is a compilation of best soil, nutrient, crop and climate change mitigation vis-à-vis management strategies and carbon sequestration, resource conservation practices in changing world agricultural scenario due to the pressure on land and water for sustainable food security and socioeconomic development of ever growing world population. The text, divided into ten chapters, covers various issues related to modern soil and crop science coupled with sustainable agricultural resource conserving technologies to overcome consequences of climate changes. The working group on IPCC released its action report 5-phase I which indicates that almost all countries and continents, viz. Asia, Australia, North America, Central and South America, polar regions, small islands and oceans are subjected to vulnerability and extreme weather events leading to widespread damage to infrastructure, livelihood and settlements. Increased heat-related mortality, drought and food shortage may cause malnutrition. The book is a small guidance in such conditions.
