CanMEDS in health care Professional expertise, clinical competence and outcome orientation are the targets for health professionals to ensure high-quality health care in the interdisciplinary team. They succeed in their roles as Medical Expert, Health Advocate, Professional, Collaborator, Communicator, Scholar, Manager (CanMEDS role concept). In clinical practice, it is always a mix of competencies that leads to problem solving. Manual therapy, manual medicine and osteopathy specifically influences the proprioceptive system and sensorimotor skills and thus optimises sensorimotor regulation.
